Seasonal Fare in the Heart of Loveland

In the heart of Loveland stands Tano Bistro & Catering, a contemporary bistro highlighting fresh, seasonal ingredients. What started as a catering business quickly developed into a full restaurant complete with outdoor seating, a bar and private dining room. 

“We started as a catering company,” says Gaetano Williams, executive chef and proprietor. “I’ve been in the business for a very long time. I owned a few small businesses in South Florida and was a corporate chef for a couple of different chains. I’ve always been in the restaurant business. So when we started the catering business, it was a way to break out and do something for ourselves. It eventually morphed into a restaurant, while still doing catering.”

In December 2009, Tano Bistro opened its doors to the public with rave reviews. “Within six months of opening we expanded,” says Williams. “We found immediate success with what we were doing. There really isn’t anything like what we’re doing in Loveland. The fact that we do our menu seasonally, using all local ingredients when possible, sets us apart.” 

The menu at Tano Bistro & Catering is constantly evolving depending on ingredients that are in season. Williams works with local companies such Granny’s Garden School, Blooms & Berries Farm Market, the Loveland Farmers Market and the restaurant’s own garden to acquire the finest ingredients for the menu. 

Dining at Tano Bistro & Catering isn’t only about the food, it’s about the entire experience. Each season Williams edits the wine list to ensure guests have the opportunity to select wine that will pair with their meal. “With each menu change we do a review of our whites and our reds to bring in new flavors,” says Williams. In addition to wine, guests will find a selection of craft cocktails created with homemade bitters and flavorings. 

For those who want to experience Tano Bistro & Catering quality meals in their home, Williams created Take Home Tano. “My wife and I noticed that nationally there is a strong trend for prepared foods. It’s for the busy person that doesn’t have time, it’s an easy way to prepare a meal without the cleanup. We make everything from scratch.”
