Preserving Memories While Creating New Ones

At The Landing of Long Cove, compassionate and caring staff deliver distinctive assisted living and memory care services with “a whole lotta heart.”

“The residents are nice and and everybody else is nice too,” said Paula, a housekeeper at The Landing of Long Cove. “The overall work environment, we are a family. My job is way more than housekeeping, I jump in and help whereever I am needed.”

The Landing of Long Cove is a senior living community that provides assisted living and memory care in the upscale Deerfield Township neighborhood of Mason. Residents enjoy five-star fun through engaging programming, resident life and restaurant-style dining with fresh options and choices appealing to everyone.

The apartments are inviting and spacious to allow residents and future residents to make it their home. When visiting The Landing of Long Cove, you will feel the deep culture of a team that truly cares about enhancing the customer experience to ensure an at-home feeling.

The Landing of Long Cove features a variety of services for senior care, including meeting more challenging needs right on site. Residents in assisted living battling Alzheimer’s disease or dementia benefit from the Opal program, a unique series of services for residents and caregivers offered exclusively through parent company Leisure Care. The Opal program is based on the Seven Pillars of Wellness that celebrate the complexity and vibrancy of each individual, according to the Leisure Care website.

All residents enjoy an array of social, cultural, educational, physical and creative activities at the facility, and staff organize regular outings to nearby shopping, dining, retail and entertainment venues in Mason. A dining room and common areas at the Landing of Long Cove community allow residents and guests to socialize before retreating to their comfortable apartment-style living spaces.

As its website touts, The Landing of Long Cove staff deliver services with “a whole lotta heart, making The Landing of Long Cove a place with a whole lotta love.”

“We really live by a three-thirds lifestyle — family first, philanthropy second and company third,” says Katie Huff, general manager of The Landing of Long Cove. “It’s nice to work for a company that truly cares for you as a person and wants to make sure that we learn about each resident as a whole. We want to know what’s important to them, what makes them tick as a person, what they did before they began their journey to senior living.”

That’s a sentiment that Gert, one of the facility’s residents, echoes.

“Everybody is really nice,” she says. “I haven’t come across anyone that I haven’t liked. I’ve never had anything to complain about, and when I’ve needed someone, they are always there. I really like to talk to people and I now have a lot of friends that I can talk to.”
