Kevin Jones, Huntington Bank’s Southern Ohio/Kentucky regional president, oversees the Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Dayton and Springfield market. His role is a natural fit as he is passionate about the community he calls home. Jones, who has spent most of his life in the area, attended St. Xavier High School and earned a degree from Miami University.

Jones and his wife, Michelle, live in East Walnut Hills with their three sons – two at St. Xavier and one at Miami. His enthusiasm for civic involvement is evident through his board roles on  numerous organizations, including Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC), Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, REDI Cincinnati, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center Foundation, American Heart Association/American Stroke Association and Cincinnati Opera.

Jones, who worked at Fifth Third Bank, joined Huntington Bank as senior vice president and director of commercial regional development in 2013. Later that year, he was promoted to president of the Southern Ohio/Kentucky market.

Jones is focused on maintaining personal connections in an age of technology-based communication. He personally visits several of Huntington’s 51 regional branches every quarter.

“It’s all about people – knowing people and connecting with people,” says Jones. “Huntington as an institution is into deep relationship building. By knowing our customers, by investing in relationships, we can provide the best service and value to them, and that ultimately benefits our community as we fulfill their needs.”

Jones is driven by a deep-seated desire to bring positive growth to Cincinnati. He believes if the community and people thrive, Huntington will flourish in the local market. The opportunity to make a difference is what Jones values most about his role as a local banker in the city he loves.

“My day is never the same,” he says. “Whether I’m helping celebrate the completion of a high-profile project or supporting one of the business lines to excel, I get a tremendous sense of satisfaction that everything I do is about helping this part of the country. I’m proud to share my life with this city.”
