EVENT PICS: Cincinnati Ballet's Club B Gala
Cincinnati Ballet celebrated the fifth anniversary of the annual Club B Gala Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 6:30 pm at The Cincinnati Ballet Center. The theme, Ballet A Go Go, was a spirited celebration of iconic 1960s pop culture including ³mod² fashion, swinging music and of course go-go dancing! The event was chaired by long-time Cincinnati Ballet supporters, Donald Beck & Lawrence E. Eynon, M.D with Honorary Chairs Barbara and Larry Kellar.
Guests were transported back in time for an evening complete with cocktails, dinner and dancing. The dance party kicked off with a special surprise performance by the Cincinnati Ballet Second Company accompanied by Cincinnati Ballet staff including Artistic Director & CEO Victoria Morgan, Chief Operating Officer Missie Santomo and Education and Outreach Director, Julie Sunderland,. The surprise performance even included a flash mob by participants from the popular DANCEFIX class!
The Cincinnati Ballet Center transformed into a trendy 60s nightclub, evocative of the world famous Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles, drawing influences from other famous clubs from the era such as New York City¹s Apollo and Peppermint Lounge.
The evening truly brought the nostalgic Whisky A Go Go to present-day, with a DJ playing favorites from the era while attendees danced the night away!
